A collaborative project of Terrence Chouinard, Nancy Gil, and Adriene Katz, A Mouses's Tale was printed letterpress with hand-colored illustrations. Bound in 2005 in an edition of 250 by the Campell Logan Bindery, Minneapolis.


The Wells College Press was founded in 1939 by Victor Hammer and was active until 1948. Upon the founding of the Wells Book Arts Center in 1993, the Wells College Press was re-established in order to continue Hammer's tradition of fine printing in the humanities. The Wells College Press acknowledges and honors its founder by producing books of contemporary and historical importance. The Wells College Press normally publishes one to three books and six to ten broadsides a year. Their editorial policy is directed by the Wells College Press Editorial Board, and the publications can be characterized as works of scholarly and artistic merit.
