Biography
Joseph Slezak (1938-2021) attended Syracuse University from 1956 to 1960 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. At Syracuse University, he was a member of the intramural bowling team and the American Marketing Association. He joined the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and served in both active and reserve duty for eight years postgraduation.
Scope and Content Note
The Joseph Slezak Papers contain correspondence, booklets, and other materials related to Slezak’s time as a student at Syracuse University. This includes academic, new student, Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), and commencement materials, as well as football tickets, a career services handbook, and a fraternity rush booklet.

Additionally, a November 1956 copy of The Syracusan was moved to the Syracuse University Student Publications Collection.
