Historical Note

The Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority was established at Syracuse University in May of 1905. The chapter closed in 1973 and returned in 1990, remaining active until 1999, when the chapter became dormant.


Scope and Content Note

The Sigma Kappa Collection spans from 1905 to 1958 and includes materials related to its history, members and activities. In the collection are photographs, dance cards, materials from their 50th anniversary as well as publications relating to Sigma Kappa. Also in the collection is a scrapbook that contains invitations, correspondence and other ephemera.

Please note that the collection is housed off-site, and advance notice is required to allow time to have the materials brought to the Reading Room on campus.
