The William S. Ross Jr. Scrapbook comprises local newspaper clippings focused on World War II. It provides insights to civilian life at the time and includes a mix of comics, propaganda posters, military recruitment posters, advertisements, and newspaper articles. The scrapbook includes clippings from The Daily Orange on the Syracuse University student population’s response to the war.
This collection contains racist language about and images of people of Japanese and Asian descent that users may find objectionable.
