Frank Meter and Lillian Wells-Meter Papers

Biography

Frank William Meter (d.1969) was an alumnus of Syracuse University and attended from 1903-1905 in the College of Applied Sciences. He attended Penn University from 1907-1910. Lillian Wells-Meter (1884-1978) was an alumna of Syracuse University and graduated in 1908 with a Bachelor's of Science then a Ph.B. in 1908. She was a teacher of high school science and mathematics in Holland Patent, New York from 1908-1911 then Cooperstown, New York from 1911-12. Lillian Wells married Frank Meter in 1912. She was a member of Committee on 2nd and 3rd War Loans as well as a member of the Red Cross where she made surgical supplies.


Scope and Content Note

The Frank Meter and Lillian Wells-Meter Papers consist of clippings, photographs of students, various buildings, and Niagara Falls, correspondence of Frank Meter, a memorandum book of Frank Meter detailing money received and expended from 1900-1906, two quote cards, Lillian Wells-Meter's sophomore year diary, and her commencement program from 1908.
