Biography

Patricia Ann Klein

Patricia (Patty) Ann Klein, of Trenton, New Jersey, had been in London visiting a nun, a family friend who had taken ill. She held a bachelors and a Master's degree in Education from Trenton State College. Patty worked for the Juvenile Division of the New Jersey Department of Corrections for 13 years before her death. Many of the youths she worked with recalled her as someone who helped them get their lives "together". Patty was survived by her parents, Francis and Marie Klein, her sister Theresa Park and her brother, Jeffrey Klein.

Patty was recalled as fun-loving and playful. Her philosophy on life was reflected in her poetry:

For each thorn, there's a rosebud...
for each twilight -- a dawn...
for each trial -- the strength
to carry on,
For each stormcloud -- a rainbow...
for each shadow -- the sun...
for each parting -- sweet memories
when sorrow is done.
