Biographical History

American author, science fiction short story writer, novelist, and playwright.

Scope and Contents of the Collection

Correspondence (1940-1969); Army Air Force press releases and documents (1940-1945); typescript draft and manuscript short stories, plays, and novels; photographs; and published material, including a large collection of science fiction books and periodicals.

Correspondents include Poul Anderson, Virginia Kidd, Damon Knight, Judith Merril, Sam Moskowitz, Frederik Pohl, Kurt Vonnegut, Jack Williamson, and Donald A. Wollheim.

The majority of our archival and manuscript collections are housed offsite and require advanced notice for retrieval. Researchers are encouraged to contact us in advance concerning the collection material they wish to access for their research.
