Change Is a Function of Existence

Beverly B. Hettig, Penfield, NY

This book is bound in an accordion structure that unfolds to 14 feet. The sheet music is hand painted with acrylic medium, and the text is printed with a laser printer. The sheets are further painted with textural acrylic and embellished with leafing. Architectural cuts and folds emphasize transient thoughts and reflections during a one-year period. Origami folded embellishments are on the front cover, and there are decorative toggle closures. Bound in 2006.

Beverly B. Hettig has lived the majority of her life in the Rochester, NY area and has been making artist's books for over ten years. She studied at Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute, The Instituto Allende, Visual Studies Workshop, and Empire State College. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States.
