About
Syracuse University Interlibrary Loan lends books and returnable items to libraries throughout the U.S. and Canada. Photocopies are provided to libraries around the world.
- Articles are delivered electronically via Odyssey (ILLiad) , Ariel, Email attachments or Fax.
- We lend all formats. Video Tapes must be cleared through the media department. Some have restrictions imposed by the publisher or they may be needed for teaching purposes here at S.U.
- We only lend 4 reels of microfilm per request. We will also only loan 4 volumes of a set per request.
- Special Collections and Archival material must be cleared through the respective departments.
Fees
- Loans are free for N.Y. State Libraries.
- The loan fee for other libraries is $10.00.
- We charge $8.00 for the first 20 pages of copy and .15 for each additional page.
- The rush fee is $7.00.
Billing
Loan Period
- Books and other returnable items are loaned for 4 weeks from the date of receipt with no renewal.
- We do have reciprocal agreements with several libraries.

- Courier for libraries in New York State through NYLINK LAND.
