An educational resource from the American Institute of Biological Sciences.  Contains up-to-date articles and author information in several different areas of evolutionary studies:  Evolution and the History of Life, Species and Speciation, the Fossil Record, Evolution in Action, Investigating Human Evolution, and Science and Belief.  Some articles include educator resources and lesson plans.

African Primates at Home
A website containing images, vocalizations, and fact sheets on many different African Primates.  Based on the original research of Dr. M.K. Holder at Indiana University.

Anthropology in the News
An established website for the most current news and information in Anthropology.  Many of the entries concern Physical Anthropology.

Becoming Human
A site run by The Institute of Human Origins.  The homepage contains an interactive documentary on the origins of homo sapiens.  Also contains book reviews, paleoanthropology news updates, a learning center and further resources.

Duke University Paleoanthropology Field School in South Africa

One of the few widely-publicized field school opportunities in Paleoanthropology.  The school is on hiatus for 2007 but the website contains archival information on previous schools, including photographs, information on instructors, and an FAQ section.

The eSkeletons Project
This website, created at University of Texas, Austin, offers digitized versions of skeletons for the purpose of human and primate comparative anatomy research.  Four main skeletons are on display:  chimpanzee, ruffed lemur, common marmoset, and mouse lemur.  The skeletons are navigable in 2-D and 3-D and are full color.  Supplemental information on the skeletons and on comparative anatomy in general is included. 

Human Genome Diversity Project
"The Human Genome Diversity Project is an international project that seeks to understand the diversity and unity of the entire human species. Laboratories from around the world have contributed cell lines from populations that they have studied to a resource known as the HGDP-CEPH Collection in Paris, France. These cell lines are maintained at the Centre Etude Polymorphism Humain. These samples have all met the criteria set by the HGDP Ethics Committee. DNA from these cells is available to nonprofit research laboratories essentially at cost" (From the homepage).

A public-access online database of human genes and genetic disorders from Johns Hopkins University.

OsteoInteractive
An interactive website with information on Forensic Anthropology, Human Osteology, and Paleopathology.  Also contains data on educational programs, conferences, current journal articles and news events.  Sponsored by the Spencer S. Eccless Human Sciences Library at the University of Utah.

Nature
This online version of the magazine contains numerous articles on Physical Anthropology and related fields.

Primate Info Net
A comprehensive guide to Primatology and related fields on the web.  Contains information on educational programs, field sites, current news, and research resources.  Also contains factsheets on dozens of primates.
