The Syracuse University Library supports the curriculum of the Linguistic Studies program. Below are links to resources for the study of language pedagogy (Teaching English as a Second Language), structure and development of the English language, and the applied and theoretical branches of linguistics.

Most of Bird Library's linguistics books and journal backfiles are located on the fifth floor in the P call numbers. Works on language groups are found in the subsequent call number ranges: e.g., Modern European languages (PB), Romance languages (PC), Germanic languages (PD), English language (PE), etc. Current journals are in the Current Periodicals area on the second floor, arranged alphabetically by title. Additional resources may be accessed below.
