Comprehensive source for statistics, covering many topics and geographic areas. The Power Tables base edition option provides actual tables of data. The second menu option, Search Abstracts, includes the electronic versions of: Statistical Abstract of the United States; American Statistics Index (ASI), Statistical Reference Index (SRI), and Index to International Statistics (IIS). - Census Toolkit (PDF)
Comprehensive aid to choosing and working with Census data, understanding census geography, etc. Includes many links to tutorials and help sites.
- Historical Census Browser
Covers 1790 - 1960. Data differs according to what was collected by each census, and what has been transcribed. No information is available below the county level. Files are organized by decade, and users can select variables and sort, calculate proportions or graph. Note: For more involved calculations or data manipulation, users can download original data from ICPSR.
- Measuring America: The Decennial Censuses from 1790 to 2002 (PDF)
Includes census questionnaires, instructions, finding guides, histories of the censuses, publicity, advertising, etc. Does not provide actual census data.
- U.S. Census Bureau: The Official Statistics
Data from U.S. population and economic censuses. Searchable by keyword(s), place name, map location. Use Gazetteer for quick place name searches. Links to current population clocks.
- Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA)
Grouped by national, international, regional, and industry. Includes state and local personal income, NIPA (national income and product accounts), estimates of GDP (gross domestic product), gross state product, balance of payments data, and related measures.
- Condition of Education
Statistics on all aspects of education in the United States, from the National Center for Education Statistics. See also National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
- Consumer Price Indexes
The CPI represents changes in prices of all goods and services. Price indexes are available for the U.S., the four Census regions, cities, regions, and local areas.
- FedStats
Comprehensive guide to the statistics produced by over 100 federal agencies. Search by subject, state, or agency name.
- Historical Statistics

- National Center for Health Statistics
Offers alphabetical index of subjects (FASTATS A to Z); also searchable using NCHS Web Search. Maintained by the Centers for Disease Control.

- U.S. Government Documents Ready Reference Collection
Organizes census and other federal government data by topics, then by publication title.
- U.S. Statistics in Brief
Basic statistics on: population, vital statistics, crime, education, transportation, health, social welfare, budget outlays, employment, unemployment, income, consumer price index, energy, agriculture, business, finance, interest rates, etc.
- USA Trade Online
US foreign trade data: current and cumulative exports and imports. Use this database to find existing and and emerging export markets for products, determine market share of export markets, and monitor trends in specific products, markets, and countries.
