Provides in-depth coverage of business conditions, trends, corporate strategies and tactics, management techniques, competitive and product information, and a wide variety of other topics. Includes indexing and substantive abstracts to articles from more than 1,000 leading business and management publications, including over 350 English-language titles from outside the U.S.

AgeLine [SilverPlatter]
Provides coverage of social gerontology -- the study of aging in social, psychological,
health-related, and economic contexts. 1978+ with selected coverage back to 1966; updated bimonthly.

BE Press Journals [Berkeley Electronic Press]

SU Library currently subscribes to the following two packages from BE Press:
BE Press Journals in Economic Analysis & Policy - A four part journal package in the field of microeconomics that analyzes business, consumer behavior and public policy. Issues of interest include: interaction of firms, functioning of markets, effects of domestic and international policy, and design of organizations and institutions. Once inside the journal homepage-SU affiliated users can register for email alerts that notify them about newly published articles.

BE Press Journals in Theoretical Economics - A four part journal package covering articles in all areas of economic theory, including decision theory, game theory, general equilibrium theory, and the theory of economic mechanisms. Current Index to Statistics [American Statistical Association/Institute of Mathematical Statistics]
Indexes publications in mathematical statistics and related fields in science and the social sciences. Includes coverage, in most cases from 1974 to the present from 106 "core journals" (and pre-1974 coverage for a number of them), and selected articles since 1974 from about 900 additional journals and about 8000 books in statistics.

EconLit [FirstSearch]
Index and abstracts of over 400 economics journals, 500 collective volumes per year, plus books, dissertations, and working papers. Covers 1969 to the present; updated monthly.

EIU - Economist Intelligence Unit [Economist Group]
Objective and timely analysis and forecasts of the political, economic and business environment in more than 180 countries. Includes reports on certain strategic industries and on the latest management thinking.

EuropaWorld [Taylor & Francis]
Full text online version of Europa World Year Book, reference book for political and economic information in over 250 countries and territories. Also covers numerous international organizations and features a search engine for generating comparative multinational statistics.

ICPSR [Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research]
ICPSR is a membership-based organization providing access to the world's largest archive of computer-based research and instructional data for the social sciences. The data archive includes a broad range of disciplines, including political science, sociology, demography, economics, history, education, gerontology, criminal justice, public health, foreign policy, and law. ICPSR's entire collection is online and available for downloading. However, many of the studies in the ICPSR archive are restricted to faculty, staff, and students at member institutions. Syracuse University Library is a member.

JSTOR [JSTOR]
Readily browseable electronic journal package that includes numerous peer-reviewd full-text, full-image articles in economics, business, finance, the social sciences and humanities. {link goes to a browse by subject page-a search engine is also available}

Hundreds of full text files focusing on legal news (federal, state, international), journalism  (newspapers, newswires, transcripts), business and industry journals.

Comprehensive access to US legislative information.
Statistical [Lexis-Nexis]
Comprehensive access to US statistical information.

Mergent Online [FISOnline]
Financial information of public company -- US Company Data Direct, which contains more than 10,000 U.S. companies (including EDGAR (SEC) filings) and International Company Data Direct, which contains more than 17,000 non-U.S. companies.

Reuters Business Insights
Reuters Business Insight gives access to over 250 management reports and industry/market in-depth analysis to accurately appraise industry development. This database focuses on five major markets: Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Telecommunications. In addition, there is a extensive range of eCommerce and eConsumer reports providing good business insights.

Social Sciences Abstracts [FirstSearch]
Index with abstracts to more than 400 international, English-language periodicals. Indexing from February 1983 to the present. Abstracts from January 1994. Updated monthly.

STAT-USA [US Dept. of Commerce]
Provides access to economic and trade-related data. Databases include the National Trade Data Bank, Economic Bulletin Board, Global Business Procurement Opportunities, and Bureau of Economic Analysis Economic Information.

Transitions Online [Transitions - Czech Republic]
A gateway to media outlets not readily accessible in the west (e.g., examples of publications: Novoe Vremea (Moldova); Kapital (Macedonia). Transitions Online compiles these into coherent web-accessible collections (e.g., by country name). In addition to daily journalism-the site allows users to locate, by country, a variety of links to that nation's political parties, government agencies, and think tanks. It also offers job listings, opinion pieces, essays, article packages focusing on common themes and year-in review annual surveys for each country. It does not limit its coverage to economic or political subject matter-but also links to news of the arts, culture and the humanities. It includes a searchable archive with content reaching back to the mid 1990s.

United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database [United Nations]
Produced by the statistics division of the UN, UNCOMTRADE is a repository of merchandise trade statistics reported by over 130 countries. Data is arranged according to five central variables: country, commodity category (referenced using both the “Harmonized System” and the “Standard International Trade Classification”), trading partner country, year and trade flow (import, export or re-export). All values are converted into U.S. Dollars. SU Library's subscription allows SU affiliated students, faculty and staff unlimited downloads of data for time periods ranging from the late 1960s through to the present.

Xreferplus: Digital Reference Library [Xrefer.com]
Online reference database that includes several full-text economics dictionaries.
