Helpline

Who do you call when you can't find that book?

The Helpline Service provides assistance at the time of need to patrons in the stack areas and on upper floors of Bird, particularly those floors without a service desk. This on-call service is available to users during all the hours that our first floor service desks are open.

Signs with the phone number are posted throughout the stack and upper floor areas, allowing patrons to contact library staff who will respond immediately. The Helpline staff will be able to assist library users with finding books on the shelves, getting directions or referals to other services within the library, helping with copier or printer issues, clearing up concerns about the availability status of a book and showing users how to submit recall requests if needed.
