New York Center for the Book

The New York Center for the Book promotes book culture throughout New York State.  The New York Center is a state affiliate of the Library of Congress Center for the Book, which was founded in 1977 "to promote books, reading, libraries, and literacy."; Center for the Book, Library of Congress. Interests of the New York Center include books as artifacts, the aesthetics of books, book arts, book publishing and distribution, scholarship related to all aspects of the book, and  literacy, including reading for pleasure and enlightenment.  The Center is interested in the book in all formats, including electronic.
