Information Literacy

What is Information Literacy?

According to the Association of College and Research Libraries, information literacy is the “set of skills needed to find, retrieve, analyze, and use information” (ACRL, 2004).

Syracuse University Library Information Literacy Program/TRAILS

The Syracuse University Library is committed to providing students with instructional programs and services to assist them in developing information literacy skills. The Teaching Research And Information Literacy (TRAILS) Program is dedicated to providing and promoting the instruction of information literacy skills in a formal, systematic way.

Faculty may contact Abby Kasowitz-Scheer, Head of Instructional Services, or their subject librarian to discuss ways to integrate information literacy into the curriculum.
