Video Resources in the Librarycamera

Syracuse University Library collects a variety of videocassette materials in social work and related subjects. To find the most current list of videocassettes, or to search for a specific title, use the Library's Catalog. Choose Video-DVD/VHS from the Quick Limits pull down menu. Select the Keywords Anywhere or Keywords Combined search option and enter your subject. Look at Search hints at the bottom of the page for detailed searches.

Note the videocassette number and location (usually Bird-Media, Lower Level). Present your SUID along with the videocassette number to the staff at the Media Desk and they will give you the video and headphones to use with the equipment in Media. You may also call them at 443-9510. Videocassettes do not circulate, except to faculty for teaching purposes.

Belfer Audio Archives

This url will tell you about what is available in the Belfer Audio Archive.

http://library.syr.edu/information/belfer/services.htm

Here is how to find recordings in the Archive.  The 78s and cylinders are listed in SUMMIT.  If you can not find the recording you are looking for in SUMMIT, we may still have it. You may ask us, by phone, email or in person.  You can listen to the recordings in the archive  or for class use we put material on a CD with copy restriction notices on it, which they borrow - length of time depends on whether student or faculty.  These is also a reasonable collection of audio-related references here as well that they can look through for information and listings of recordings.

Hours for Belfer are 8:30-5, M-F.
