The Library Multimedia Center provides resources for the development and exploration of digital and multimedia materials and applications by students, faculty and other members of the Syracuse University community.

Goals and Services

The LMC is a multimedia development facility which provides text and image scanning, digital video capture and editing, digital audio capture and editing, access to the World-Wide Web, software, and the ability to create and output custom multimedia packages on a series of Windows and Macintosh workstations.

LMC staff assist in the use of multimedia technologies and provide limited consultation by appointment. Referrals are made to other University organizations for more extensive consultation and training.

The LMC utilizes the Library's collections of digital multimedia resources, which include examples of courseware, CDROMS, software and public-domain images, video, and sounds.
