Digital Library Development (DLD) Services
The Digital Library Development core service area exists to define and
establish the Digital Library (DL) Program and to develop and manage digital
collections that support teaching, learning, and research at Syracuse
University. DL projects include those that create new digital resources
or convert a collection of analog information (print, image, audio, or
video) into digital form to be stored, managed, and accessed on library
servers. In particular, the DL Program administers:
- library-initiated or sponsored activities to create digital collections;
- production (Digital
Imaging Services Center) and management of digital objects;
- overall DL project management,
- access to digital collections, and
- Library portal (web) development.
