Unsupported File Formats

We do not support the native file formats of Illustrator, FreeHand, AutoCAD, InDesign, or Quark. However, most of these programs provide the option to save or export in another format such as TIFF, PDF, or EPS, which we do support.

Not Recommended

For reasons of print quality, we do not recommend printing JPG, GIF or any file with a resolution under 150 ppi. This would include almost anything taken from the Internet. Such files usually have a resolution between 72 and 96 ppi, which is an appropriate range for online viewing but not for printing.

If you still have questions on how to supply your file for printing, please give us a call. We are happy to help you!

4. VERIFY TIFF IN PHOTOSHOP

When you export files from Illustrator as TIFFs, open each resulting TIFF file in Photoshop to verify both the content and page size of your document. Illustrator frequently includes content that is on the artboard but off the page and also excludes blank areas on your page. Therefore, it is especially important that you check your file before it goes to print. You can do this by opening the TIFF file in Photoshop and checking Image Size under the Image menu.
