Reference Room

The reference room contains standard print references for doing music and sound recording research. These include many excellent discographies, record label catalogs,
composer catalogs, standard music reference books such as The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, and specialty reference works. There are also bound collections of scholarly, technical and popular periodicals relevant to sound recording and preservation, including the journals of IASA, AES, and ARSC, as well as Hobbies, Mix, and Opera. Additionally there are several organized boxes of ephemera, including technical manuals, concert programs, photographs, advertisements, and disc or album covers and liner notes, that can be very valuable resources for researchers.
