Creating Persistent Links (PURLs) to Library Resources
Creating a persistent URL allows you to conserve disk space by taking advantage of the "deep-linking" capabilities offered by database vendors, e-journal publishers, and even the Library Course Reserves system. Not all of our subscription services offer the ability to deep-link directly to an article, and some of those who do offer the service may set an expiration date on the URL. For this reason, we encourage you to test your links thoroughly and regularly, updating them as needed.
