Catalog

Search for books, journals, videos, maps, music, etc. that are in the Syracuse University Library’s collections as well as the collections at the Barclay Law Library and Moon Library at SUNY/ESF.

Tip: Use the drop-down box to choose a search type.  Search by keyword, author, title, journal title, subject, or call number.

For more information, see Catalog Search.

Databases

The Library has over 400 research databases that contain journal articles, reports, images, statistics, and more.   Search for a library database by name or click to browse a list of databases in your subject area.

Tip: Database titles can be tricky sometimes. If searching by title doesn’t give you any results try clicking the Browse Databases link and use our A-Z list.

For more detailed instructions on locating Library databases see the Productive Researcher Library Tutorial: Finding Databases

E-Journals

Search for an electronic journal by its title or browse a list of electronic journals in your subject area.

Tip:  If you have a citation to a journal article, be sure to type in the name of the journal, not the title of the article.

For more detailed instructions see the Productive Researcher Library Tutorial: Locating Full Text from a Citation

Articles

Search for a keyword or phrase in our QuickSet, which searches three popular library databases simultaneously:  Proquest Research Library, Wilson Omnifile FT, and ArticleFirst.

Tip:  There are other QuickSets available, for example the Socials Sciences QuickSet, the Arts & Humanities Quickset, etc.   Click the QuickSets link at the bottom of the search box to choose a different QuickSet.
