Biography

Muriel Hodge was a student at Syracuse University in the 1940s. She was born and grew up in Geneva, New York, and received her undergraduate degree from William Smith College in 1931. From 1945 to 1946, she studied at the School of Library Science at Syracuse University. After attending Syracuse University, Hodge worked as a librarian at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She was also an active member of Zonta International, an organization for professional women, and served as president of the Geneva chapter.


Scope and Content Note

The Muriel Hodge Papers contain her coursework from 1945 to 1946 while she was enrolled at the School of Library Science at Syracuse University. Included in the collection are notes, syllabi, written work, course schedules, and a class photograph from 1946.
