Biography

Frank J. Anderson (1919-2013) graduated from the Syracuse University School of Library Science in 1951.

Before joining Syracuse University, Anderson earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and served in the Navy aboard the USS Tusk submarine. After earning his master's degree from Syracuse University in 1951, he continued to serve on the USS Tusk. He worked as a librarian for Kansas Wesleyan University until 1966 and as librarian emeritus at Wofford College from 1966 to 1984.


Scope and Content Note

The Frank J. Anderson Papers date from 1950 to 1969 and contain correspondence with Wharton Miller, director of the School of Library Science, as well as two articles he wrote for the Library Journal.
