F. E. Beggs Diary

An inventory of his item at Syracuse University

Finding aid created by: CAD
Date: Nov 1987

Biographical History

In the year 1880, F. E. Beggs was a school teacher in the town of Lexington, Greene County, New York.

Scope and Contents of the Collection

Beggs is most consistent in documenting the weather and his travels. He also makes reference to family, friends, and his activities. Unfortunately, beyond a few references to a "Spelling School," he makes little mention of students, curriculum, or teaching.

At the end of the volume Beggs notes receipts and expenditures on articles of food, clothing, and other items.
