Biographical History

The September 11 attacks, often referred to simply as 9/11, were a series of coordinated terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001. The hijacking and deliberate crashing of four commercial airliners by members of terrrorist organization al-Qaeda killed more than 3000 people, and had profound and long-lasting effects on American (and to a lesser extent European) politics, foreign policy and domestic security efforts.
