Charles Sumner Hamlin (1861–1938) was an American lawyer and politician. He held a number of important political offices, including Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (1893-1897, 1913-1914) and Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board (1914-1916).
The Charles S. Hamlin Letters consists of 14 items of incoming correspondence sent to Hamlin between 1893 and 1925. Mainly they consist of short notes discussing political and financial topics.
