The Madison County Convention of the Anti-Dramshop Party was held in Morrisville, N.Y., July 20th 1870. All the towns, save three, were represented. J. F. KINGSBURY was made Chairman, and J.E. MAYNARD, Secretary.
The following persons were appointed delegates to the Anti-dramshop Convention which is to be held in Syracuse August 17th 1870 for the nomination of Governor and other State officers:
ALTERNATES:
O. CURTISS, Mr. MATTOON,
J. H. WAGGONER, S. T. FYLER.
It is hoped that many besides delegates will attend the Convention.
It was agreed that the Anti-dramshop Convention for nominating Member of Congress, Members of Assembly and County Officers, be held in Peterboro on the first day of September, and that our friends in the County of Oswego be invited to be with us on that occasion. This will be a Mass Convention.
