BiographySusan Kline is Project Archivist for the CLIR funded GrovePress project. She joined the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) in 2009 as Cartoon Archivist and was responsible for completing the processing and description of nearly 200 cartoon collections. The cartoon project was funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), an affiliate of the National Archives and Records Administration. She has also worked as a Project Archivist for the NEH funded Marcel Breuer digital archive project. She holds an M.A. in History from the University of Cincinnati, where she specialized in Public History and twentieth-century American history, and a B.A. in Media Communications from Webster University in St. Louis. Her professional and research interests focus on post-World War II American social and cultural history (particularly the student movement and urban history), visual materials and material culture. She is also interested in efforts to document the history of groups that traditionally have been in the margins of society and exploring new ways to bring historical materials to a wider audience. |
