Subject responsibilitiesManuscript collections. Areas of specialty within the manuscript collections include adult education and science fiction/fantasy. Research InterestsVisual display of information, search strategies and technologies, information organization; also medieval and Renaissance history, mythology and folklore, and fan-fiction. BiographyPrior to her current position, Michele worked for Lockheed Martin in Syracuse, handling data conversion (SGML/XML) and the creation and production of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) for the U.S. Navy and other customers. Service to the University community includes serving on the Voyager Upgrade Committee, the Library Green Team, the Charters Library Grants-in-Aid award committee, and the reaccreditation committee for the i-School's Master of Library Science Program (2007-2008). Michele occasionally guest lectures on EAD and finding aids for i-School courses. Michele holds a B.A. in History (Trinity University, San Antonio, TX), an M.A. in Education (University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS), and an M.S. in Library and Information Science (Syracuse University). Michele is also a freelance writer, editor and indexer. |
