DeAnn Buss is the Director of Information Systems at Syracuse University Libraries, where she manages the Library Information Technology (LIT) unit of 14 staff. LIT provides the technical systems, infrastructure, and support necessary for end-user access to the Libraries' print and digital resources. Services provided by LIT include: training, digital production, desktop and systems support, user technology support, integrated library system management, and software application development.
Prior to joining SU, DeAnn held managerial positions in the corporate information technology consulting arena, specializing in web-based software development and technical project management. She has also had extensive experience serving in student services and data analysis and reporting positions at the University of Maryland University College, Ripon College, Northeastern University, and Dean College.
She holds a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, a B.S. in computer and information sciences from the University of Maryland, and an M.S. in counseling from Northeastern University in Boston.
