Making a gift to honor, or in memory of someone special is a wonderful and generous way to share that person's vision with the world. Depending on the nature of your gift, there are a variety of ways we can recognize your generosity.
You may feel hesitant to consider a gift that requires personal recognition. But allowing the SU Libraries to use your name or the name of a loved one can inspire philanthropy in others and will be a moving tribute to the person being named.
Please contact Ronald Thiele, Assistant Dean for Advancement, at email@example.com or 315-560-9419 to learn more about the many ways to recognize your honoree.
When Bruce's brother, Robert, passed away, Bruce wanted to honor his brother’s love of the Libraries. His gift created the Robert G. Ortwine Gallery on the 6th floor of Bird Library, a named space in the SU Libraries for students, faculty, and librarians.
The family of renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Thomas Szasz asked that contributions in his memory go to the Syracuse University Libraries. Dr. Szasz was a long time supporter of the SU Libraries, including contributing his papers and books to the Special Collections Research Center. His memory will live on in the Libraries through these gifts.<
