Bird Library BuildingBird Library is the largest library on campus and houses materials in the humanities and social sciences. Here you will also find our audiovisual resources, government publications, and maps. Bird is also home to the Learning Commons, an open, active environment where you can get research assistance, meet with a group, or study on your own.

You will find the Special Collections Research Center, the University Archives, and Library Administration offices.


The Bird Library building is located on the north side of the main university campus next to the Schine Student Center between Waverly Avenue and University Place.


Course reserve books, laptops and other equipment for loan, film and DVDs, Maps, Rare Books, and Special Collections.


The library offers wireless access for laptop users, desktop computers, printing and scanning, and a variety of study spaces, including a quiet reading room and technology-equipped group study rooms. Pages, the library cafe, is also located on the 1st floor.
