Locations and Directions

The Syracuse University Campus is located just southeast of the Interstate 81/Interstate 690 junction. Both Interstate 81 and Interstate 690 can be reached via the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90).

From the East or West via New York State Thruway (Interstate 90)

Take Exit 36 and follow Interstate 81 South towards Syracuse. Proceed according to the following directions from Interstate 81.

From the North or South via Interstate 81

Exit Interstate 81 at Adams Street (Exit 18). Drive east up the Adams Street hill (past Upstate Medical Center) to University Avenue (4th traffic light). Turn right on University Avenue and proceed to Waverly Avenue (2nd intersection) and take the first right into the Syracuse University campus.

The Science and Technology Library and Mathematics Library are both located in the Carnegie Library building on the south side of the main university campus. Enter the Library using the door on the southeast corner of the building, near Bowne Hall. Enter SciTech on the first floor; take the stairs to the third floor to enter the Mathematics Library.

The Geology Library is located on the third floor of Heroy Hall.

• Visitors may pay and park in the Comstock, Marion, Irving Garage, University Avenue Garage, or Waverly visitor lots
• Or may park at no charge in the spaces indicated at Manley Field House along Comstock Avenue, a half-mile south of Main Campus.
