The Access & Resource Sharing Department, made up of trained professionals who support the University’s academic goals, strives for excellence in providing library patrons with easy, extensive, and fair access to library materials. Access & Resource Sharing also oversees resource delivery services and collection maintenance within the library.
The Circulation Desk on the first floor is the main location for checking out most library items including Reserves and Interlibrary Loan.
The Interlibrary Loan office will obtain needed materials that are not available in Syracuse University Library.
The Maps and Government Information Service Area on the 3rd floor provides access to the library’s extensive Map and Government Information collections.
The library’s Video, Limited Access and Music Collections are located at the 4th floor Service Area.
The Science and Technology Libraries collect books, journals, and subject databases to support the teaching and research needs of the University. The main Science and Technology Library is located in the Carnegie Library building on the south side of the quad.
